Boost for small business

Sandra Cabot, interim director of Small Business and Technology Development Center at Southeast Missouri State University and the assistant director of outreach for the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, discusses what the University does to help small businesses. A large crowd turned out at the Sikeston Board of Municipal Utilities office on Thursday evening to learn more about the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's programs to assist small businesses such as manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and restaurateurs as well as those in service businesses and agribusinesses. The evening also included a panel discussion from area SBA lending institutions.
