CHARLESTON -- Mississippi County commissioners will think things over before making a decision on a higher-than-expected asphalt bill.

Ron Seabaugh and Gail Seabaugh, owners of Paving Pros in Oak Ridge, met with commissioners during their regular meeting Thursday to discuss what they say is an outstanding balance of $13,475 for asphalt overlays on county roads.

The Seabaughs maintained their bid specified a price per ton for asphalt and that the total was only an approximate cost based on the estimated tonnage for a one-inch overlay on road sections specified by county officials.
