Genevia Langston
PUXICO -- Genevia A. Langston, 87, died April 22, 2012, at the Puxico Nursing Center.
Born April 29, 1924, in Puxico, to the late Don and Lelia Marie Doublin Douglas, she had lived all her life in Puxico where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
On Dec. 27, 1943, she married Fenton Howard Langston Sr. who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Gale Ann Howard.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Debbie Langston of DeSoto; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Vernon Wamsley of St. Louis, Judy Richard of Puxico, Mary Langston of Cape Girardeau and Penny and Mike Morrow of Wappapello; two brothers, D.L. Douglas of Puxico and Dean Douglas of the state of Texas; one sister, Carolyn Reasons of Union; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and sister-in-law, Fern Douglas of Puxico.
Visitation is scheduled after 5 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Doyle Mitchell of Puxico officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
