CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Marjorie Ruth Presson, 90, died at 3:40 p.m. April 26, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 19, 1921, in Goss, she was the daughter of the late Goldie Mae Huntly and Harry George Horton. She had lived in St. Louis and was the secretary at the A.J. Martin School in East Prairie for several years.

On May 7, 1941, she married Lowell Wayne Presson who preceded in death in 1992.

Also preceding her in death were her two sons, Danny Wayne Presson and Gerald Dale "Gerry" Presson; one brother, Harry Dale Horton; and two grandsons, Neil Thomas Presson and Nicklas Wayne Presson.

Surviving is one sister, Delores Jacks of Shreveport, La.; and her caregivers, Jim and Alberta Bishop of Dogwood.

Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Dogwood Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Wollenburg, pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church in Sikeston, officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Bishop, Doug Horton, Andrew Ambrose, Mark Poore, Joe Sorrells and Stan Hubbard.
