DEXTER -- Jerry Lee Seabaugh, 64, died June 18, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 8, 1947, in Scopus, son of the late Truman Dayton Seabaugh and Wilma IVD Crites Seabaugh, he was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Dexter. He was an active member of the Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post 59 where he served as the commander from 2007-2009. He retired from the U.S. Army National Guard and was self-employed in sales at the Jerry Seabaugh Equipment Company.

On Feb. 14, 1969, in Marble Hill, he married Beverly Jean Vehrs, and she survives the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Gary Ashley of Dexter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Dara Seabaugh of Poplar Bluff and Tim and Michelle Seabaugh of Dexter; eight brothers, Eugene Seabaugh, T. Gale Seabaugh, Dale Seabaugh and Milford Seabaugh and Dick Seabaugh of Jackson, Lindell Seabaugh of Marble Hill, Ron Seabaugh of Charleston and Don Seabaugh of Leopold; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Rex Seabaugh.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. A memorial service with full military honors will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery at Bloomfield. The Rev. Lonnie Mittag and Herb Zaricor, chaplain of the Kenady-Hanks American Legion Post 59, will officiate.
