Yvonne LaFerney

NEW MADRID -- Yvonee Jean LaFerney, 75, died Aug. 29, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid.

Born June 18, 1937, at Ypsilanti, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Rufus Perry and Bethel Womack Jackson.

On May 20, 1955, in Ypsilanti, she married James LaFerney Sr. who preceded her in death June 15, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Shaun.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, James W. LaFerney Jr. and Michael and Mallie LaFerney of New Madrid and Rick and Rebecca La Ferney of Poway, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Harold Dunigan of New Madrid; one sister, Betty Munson of Maple Valley, Wash.; five grandchildren, Ryan and Tary Dunigan of Toledo, Ohio, Robin and Kevin Reedy of Las Vegas, Jennifer and Victor Gonzalez of Richland Hills, Texas, Brandy Dunigan of New Madrid and Erik LaFerney of Poway; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be conducted from 5-8 p.m. today at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lilbourn General Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery.
