MARSTON -- Betty Ferguson Britt, 61, died Oct. 5, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 6, 1950, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Lucille Martin Ferguson of Marston and the late James W. Ferguson, she retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 24 years and was a member of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church.

She first married Gary W. Cook. She later married Edward Wayne Britt who preceded her in death.

One son, Randy Wayne Cook, also preceded her in death in 1969.

In addition to her mother, survivors include: one son, Gary D. and Cassie Cook of Matthews; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorie Cook and Kristina and Eric Humphrey of New Madrid; one stepdaughter, Faith Hubley of Huffman, Ark.; two brothers, Donald Ferguson and James Ferguson of Marston; a special sister, Jeanie Redden of Kewanee; and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Monday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The Rev. Dan Wisley officiated.
