MORLEY -- Linda Lee O'Neal, 51, of Morley, Oran and Vanduser, beloved wife of Jim O'Neal, passed away peacefully on Friday Nov. 23, 2012, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Linda was born in St. Petersburg, Fla., on July 15, 1961, daughter to Lawrence Thomas and Della Mary Rhodes Carver. She married Jim O'Neal on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 1989, in Advance, and he survives.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She served her community and fellow men and women proudly. She was a licensed foster parent for several years. She served on the Democratic Committee Woman of Morley Township for the past 20 years. Linda worked as a bus driver for Scott County Central, Oran, Kelly, Sikeston and New Dawn Schools. She also helped her husband deliver State, County and City Highway trucks for Viking Cives Midwest of Morley.

She was loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include her husband of the family home; her parents of Pinellas, Fla.; two daughters, Nicole Woods of Marble Hill and Ashley O'Neal of Cape Girardeau; one stepdaughter, Summer Bridges of Morley; one stepson, Marlin O'Neal of Morley; one brother, Larry Carver of Nevada; three sisters, Debbie, Cindy and Donna of Florida; as well as several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brandy; and one son, Jeremy.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov, 28, 2012, at the chapel with the Rev. Ira Sandefer officiating assisted by the Rev. David Thompson.

Burial will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
