CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Minnie Lee Treece Crumpecker, 93, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday Feb. 24, 2013, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Monday Sept. 1, 1919, in Decatur, Tenn., to the late Isaac C. and Lula Boyer Treece.

On Sept. 25, 1954, in Benton she married H.R. Crumpecker Jr. who preceded her in death in November 1999.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Minnie was a member of the Church of Christ in Blodgett. She enjoyed gardening, canning foods and cross stitching.

She is survived by: a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jerry Hoffman of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Treece of Millersville; three sisters, Nola Edwards of New Madrid and Dora Kalb and Shirley Carter of Benton; and three grandchildren, Callie (and Mark) Welker of Cape Girardeau, Clinton Hoffman of Memphis, Tenn., and Mindy Hoffman of Vail, Colo.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, with the Rev. Dan Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
