SIKESTON - Sitting in the lower level of the Sikeston Public Library, Ron Eifert patiently marks prices on the books, which will be sold at the annual used book sale.

This year, Eifert noted, it is even more important to clear out the space where the books are stored. The room is needed for the Library's planned renovation to make more room for children's programing.

The Sikeston Public Library's annual sale kicks off from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. It will continue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. From 1-3 p.m. Sunday, any items left will be sold for $1 for a brown paper sack-full.
