Advisory group plants seeds for success of ag program

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Southeast Missouri State University's four-year degree program in agribusiness will begin its fourth year this fall at its three Bootheel campuses with groundwork well under way that is channeling advice from local agribusiness leaders to guide the program's success.

An advisory group to the program was formed last November and has already met three times this year, driving several new initiatives now in place.

Dan Jennings, president and co-owner of Jennings Brothers Inc. and a member of the Advisory Group, said the group's efforts will benefit both Southeast Missouri State as well as agriculture in southeast Missouri.
