Just park it

What is wrong with these big white transit vans in Sikeston? Don't they know they don't own Sikeston? They need to abide by the parking rules and pull into parking spaces instead of just pulling right up in front of buildings where other people with handicapped people can't get in. C'mon Sikeston, you are better than this. We have many transit and cab companies in town. If you are gonna do it, do it right.

Guilty till proven innocent

I'm calling about the drugs at a certain housing authority on government property. I know exactly which housing project you are talking about. People over there deserve to live in peace and quiet without drugs and druggies. Housing authorities were made for people who need help if they have disabilities or if their elderly, can't mow their yards no more. They need decent housing and these things don't need to be going on in a small town like this. Now I know that our police have done some things to protect some of us, but they are gonna have to step up and get them all. That's not good judgment at a housing authority. They have to prove they are innocent, not you prove they are guilty.

Dazed and confused

Our state representative, Holly Rehder, needs to get new people to write her columns. She's all over the place, contradicting herself in her own articles. Let's hope she's smarter than she appears.

Cemetery needs attention

I was wondering what was going on with the Blodgett Cemetery. It looks awful. It has not been mowed in no telling how long. It looks like the Village of Blodgett should step in and take care of it if the women's club is not going to.
