Get out the switches

I'm calling why kids in the United States are so bad. When they took God out of the school system, and they took the belt and switches out of the parents' hands, that's why our nation has become a nation of thugs and vandals. Put the belts and switches back in the hands of the parents and put God back into the school system and pray. Then we will become bigger and stronger and a much better nation. Our children will then not be terrible citizens of this United States of America.

Trashing Virginia

This is to the lazy people that just went down my street. I live on the 500 block of Virginia. They're too lazy to wait and throw their trash in the trashcan when they get home. They like to throw it out in front of our house so we have something to do and pick up their trash. There's only one word I've got for these people. They are a bunch of trash too.

Mail call

I guess it's true that you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Charleston had a very nice drive-up mailbox on a one-way street adjoining the post office. It has been removed for reasons which I'm unaware of. This will cause a major inconvenience for the elderly who will now have to park, get out of their car and walk up steps to go into the post office. I hope that whoever made this decision will reconsider and reinstate our mailbox.

Going up

Isn't this just a wonderful? We are gonna get a raise on the water and the sewer bill. I don't know what us older people are gonna do. These young people lay around and don't have to pay no water bill or sewer bill and get free house rent.

It just burns me up

I am just wondering how long it takes the city to get rid of a condemned house that's been burnt for going on 8-9 months now. Stand here and smell the burn of a house. I bet the big shots of the town wouldn't like it if they had to live next to something like that. Why should the taxpayers, the working people, have to live by something like that?
