PREP ROUNDUP: Eagles win, EP reaches double digit victories

ORAN -- Led by a combined 49 points from Seth Ressel and Hunter Schlosser, the Oran Eagles rolled to a 74-49 win over visiting Bloomfield on Tuesday at Oran High School.

Oran outpaced the Wildcats 21-11 in the opening period and led 34-21 at the break. In outscoring Bloomfield 24-14 in the third quarter they built a comfortable 23 point lead going into the fourth.

Schlosser finished with a game-high 25 points and Ressel was close behind with 24 points.

Noah Vandiver led Bloomfield with 20 points.

East Prairie 76, Campbell 38

CAMPBELL -- The East Prairie Eagles hit one of their biggest goals of the season with Tuesday's 76-38 road win over Campbell.

With the win the Eagles can now lay claim to their first double-digit win total in six years, when they went 12-12 in the 2007-08 campaign. Tuesday's win leaves East Prairie at 10-9 on the season with the back-end of the schedule still to come.

The Eagles jumped out to a 20-12 lead after the first quarter against the Camels and led 35-22 at the break. They took a 17 point into the fourth quarter before finishing the contest by outpacing Campbell 23-1 in the final period.

Leading the way was Damion Tipler with 23 points while Dustin Bryars and Seth Johnson scored 14 and 13 points respectively.

Mack Marcum was the fourth Eagle in double digits with 12 points.

BENTON -- Outscoring the visiting Richland Rebels 18-11 in the fourth quarter, the Kelly Hawks were able to hang on for a 69-58 win Tuesday at Kelly High School.

Ty Householder scored a game-high 27 points for Kelly (3-14). Conner Dittlinger chipped in with 17 points while Josh Roberts added 15.

Skyler Harper scored a team-high 15 points for Richland (1-12).
