Volunteers with the Sikeston OAKS Center count coupons to be mailed to military personnel serving overseas. A total of 3,915 coupons were donated by patrons since the Center began collecting them in November, according to Lisa Hicks, assistant supervisor at Sikeston OAKS. The project is ongoing, and local patrons who want to donate coupons can drop them off between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Center. Hicks asked the coupons be: clipped; from manufacturers only; divided between expired and unexpired; and not be expired longer than three months.
