Board members with the New Madrid Historical Museum check out some of the decorations which will be used for the annual fundraiser scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 at the New Madrid Eagles Club. The evening, centered on a Mardi Gras theme, will include the band, the Memphis Icebreakers, New Orleans-style food and drink and a chance for someone to win $10,000. Museum officials noted this year's event will feature a fast-paced draw-down to the winning ticket as well as a photo area. A limited number of tickets are available and are $100 per couple. Tickets are available by calling the Museum at 573-748-5944, at the Museum which is located at 1 Main St. or from any member of the Museum Board. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the addition of the New Madrid Historical Museum's state-of-the-art, interactive exhibit on the 1811-12 earthquake.
