Let's have a do-over

In response to the story "Reading the results of Tuesday's votes." The only difference was that Poplar Bluff started three years ago. Do you think that is insignificant? I, too, voted for the bond issue but I kept thinking, Why didn't they tie in a safe place for Sikeston to go during tornadoes in the evening with the whole thing? Draw in our community, asking their input is essential. Tell them to go back and ask the community what they do see as important and let's go at it again in a couple of years.

Brrrrrr

If global warming gets any worse than it is now, I think I'll freeze to death.

Robin Hood in reverse

All you people keep saying that it's the Democrats fault that we can't get this and we can't get that. You better think twice. We've only got 13 Democrats against all the Republicans in Missouri. If we can't help our own people, how can we help foreign countries? We take away from our people and give to the foreign countries. That is not what the Bible says. Read your Bible for once. The Bible says to help your own people before you help anybody else. It means for us to take care of our own people and then give to the poor. It doesn't say to take from the poor and give to the rich or foreign aid. We give more foreign aid out than we do anything. We don't need to be giving money away and take care of our own people and do what the Bible says to do. And the Bible said it is an abomination to be gay. A lot of people say it is not wrong to be gay. It is very wrong to be gay.

No talking for bus drivers

I was just wondering what is going on with all these school bus accidents? Are they hiring idiots to drive the buses now or are they texting and talking on their cellphones? I think that needs to be checked out. This is utterly ridiculous. If they have cellphones, they need to leave them at home or in their pocket. And if they catch them texting or anything, fire their behinds.
