It's bad all over

This is in response to "Dealers and drunks." This is not only near Sikeston, it is in Sikeston. Every senior apartment in Sikeston has drug dealers and drunks. Everybody is dealing with alcohol and drugs. Either living there, staying there or coming in to buy drugs. I'm a senior living in a senior and disabled complex in Sikeston. Management can't do anything until they have proof and there's no way to get proof unless you want to go in and buy some, and I don't want to do that. It's that way everywhere. They just have to be caught. We know it but we just can't prove it.

Really pushes my buttons

I'm calling about when you call businesses and you have to push 1,2,3 or 4. You got through that and you still can't talk to people. I tried calling the Scott County Sheriff's office, and they got the same thing. You have to push this and push that and you can't even get anybody to talk to you when you call the sheriff's office. That's all I've got to say about that.

Trying to get in the swim

Does anybody in the Sikeston area install above ground pool liners? If so, will you please put your number in SpeakOut?

You need to read your Standard Democrat more closely. If you had, you would have seen an ad for Cummins Pool Service. The telephone number is 450-8873.

Let's talk junk

Why don't everybody in Mississippi County bring their junk to Lafayette Street, Johnson Street and Hagy Street? They're not made to clean it up. Looks like a junk pile around here. Somebody needs to make them mow, clean up and throw away.

Splitting hares

Christmas is celebrated as Jesus's birth. Easter is celebrated as the resurrection of Jesus. The wise men brought gifts at Jesus's birth. Santa Claus supposedly brings gifts to children at Christmas time. What does the Easter bunny and eggs have to do with the resurrection? Just asking.
