No call list

I'm calling in regard to the secrecy in which our local school board operates. I think if you are going to run for school board, you need to make your number available when someone calls and wants your number so they can talk to you. And this Common Core issue is something that if the school and the administration would explain to the public, they might get more acceptance of it. This school board and administration has done more to divide this community than anything or anyone in my memory of the city of Sikeston.

Shut 'em down

I don't know about all those old V.A. hospitals. If they ain't gonna take care of the vets that oughta just shut 'em down. If they find they are doing wrong, shut 'em down. Don't give them bonuses for lying and cheating and stuff. It's ridiculous. The only bonus they should get is be put in prison and have to pay a bunch of money back. They are just stupid and money hungry. The veterans they are taking care of risked their lives so they can have a job and get big bonuses. They don't need a bonus to take care of people that risked their lives and gave their limbs and eyes and other body parts. It's ridiculous. All people want is money these days. It's ridiculous.

Night moves

We've had a rash of outdoor thefts over Mother's Day weekend on Allen Blvd. My residence, my neighbors across the street and several others in the neighborhood. Lots of things outside were stolen. We are asking the police to start patrolling the area late at night and early in the morning because that's when these thefts occurred. And yes, we have called the police.

Plotting against people

This is for "No respect for a vet." My husband passed away almost seven years ago and I went to an out of town place for a double marker. They charged the place for setting the marker down on the ground, which I owned the grave anyway. I think it is ridiculous what these people are charging people. I feel sorry for anybody who doesn't have insurance because they sure are ripping you off.
