CHARLESTON - An Anniston man is accused of injuring an elderly woman when he attacked her with a pool cue.

Troy Alexander Knupp, 48, of Anniston, was arraigned Wednesday on the felony charges of first and second degree domestic assault, and armed criminal action. According to Missouri Case.net, bond is set at $300,000 cash only and he was ordered to have no contact with the victims.

Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore said the investigation began July 30 when Deputy Marc Tragesser was dispatched to an Anniston residence to investigate the assault of two elderly people. The victims identified their attacker as Knupp, who is also known as "Bo-Diddily."

"According to the Deputy's report, the incident allegedly began when Troy Knupp deflated a local child's bicycle tires, and then became irate when one of the victims contacted law enforcement," Moore said in a news release. "Knupp reportedly struck the elderly man with enough force to knock him to the ground, and then attacked the elderly woman with a pool stick, an attack which resulted in injuries so significant the lady was transported by ambulance to a local hospital."
