Just text me

I am sick and tired of going into places to do business and seeing people with their heads down looking at their cellphones. They barely will even look up to see that you are there. How can businesses expect to get customers when they let their employees put their texting and web surfing first and the customer second? Everyone is talking about how bad the economy is but if they showed you a little respect instead of acting like you are bothering them, it might make a difference. I worked in a store a longtime ago and one of the rules was that we were to greet each customer that came through the door and asked if they needed help. Not anymore. So I guess when you are ready to get my business, you can just text me

Go figure

I'm just reading over some school supplies for not only public schools, but private schools. It's a good thing there are two paychecks per family with the mother working outside the home. And also that there are only two or three children per family today in the modern world. Back when I went to school, there were 10 or 11 children in a family, the mother stayed home to tend to the children, clean, sew and cook. We didn't have to have so many notebooks, a certain kind of pencil, a certain kind of colors, a certain kind of folders. It's a good thing that the mothers today work, but there would be no way years ago that just a father working could afford to send 10 or 11 children to school. We figured in our head, not with a calculator. No wonder they don't know how to do arithmetic and learn. They need to use the knowledge God gave them, not calculators. Have a good year at school. God bless you all.

Ring, ring

I wish that people that run businesses would get a person to answer the phone instead of push this button, push that button. You can't push a button for everything. I don't know what the old gals do that sit around while you are pushing the buttons. They need to get rid of the button pushing and get humans on the phone. That's ridiculous. It drives everybody crazy. You can't hardly ever talk to a human and if you do, half the time they are stupid too. You need to get those little old gals to work and have them answer the phone when it rings.

Where are the apples?

While they are stuffing the buses for school, how about the teachers? They are forgetting them. How about the apples for the teachers? Have a good year.
