The good, the bad and the ugly

Let's talk about the racial issue. Everyone is quick to judge all African Americans from the actions of some. That is what we call being prejudice. I've been a reader of your paper for several years, and I can't help but notice that on the religion page, most of the churches and organizations that are giving free dinners and free clothing and having block parties for the community, those churches are the ones that have mostly members that are black. How about a little talk about this? There are good and bad people in all races, but it seems like no one ever focuses on the good, it's always the bad. There is a lot that is being done for the community by these churches and their mostly black congregation. And no, I am not black, I'm white. It just bothers me that when some idiots that show their stupidity in Ferguson, Mo., puts a label on all of the African-American race. People, we have got to learn how to come together regardless of color. A nation divided is a nation that is already conquered.

Rough grade

I don't know who the highway department has doing the shoulder work on B Highway in Mississippi County, but it really looks bad. I think they need to bring the retired men back to show them how to run a road grader. Somebody is gonna have a wreck. It really looks rough.

No time to protest

If these people in Ferguson, Mo., had jobs and wasn't on welfare, they'd be working. They wouldn't be protesting all day long.

It is done

All that stuff in Ferguson, Mo., is uncalled for. It's nonsense. Let bygones be bygones.
