School is like a prison

I want to speakout about an elementary school here in Sikeston. I went there to have lunch with my granddaughter. They screamed the whole time and said shut up the whole time instead of be quite. I felt like I was eating at a prison, and now the children are being treated that way. I will never go to lunch there again. I think the teachers and adults should have more respect for the children, as well as the adults that are there eating with the children.

Disregard for justice

Hundreds of Missouri National Guard, police and FBI agents have been held at bay by lawless leaders. We should thank Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, Governor Jay Nixon and let's not forget the silence of both of our senators. May the law abiding citizens remember the lawlessness of Ferguson, Mo., when we vote. I pray that God will be with those that are hurting and suffering from this unbelievable and total disregard for liberty and justice for all.

Nothing to do with race

Oh, good grief, Black Friday has nothing to do with race. Black Friday means you have money saved up to spend. And if you don't go over your budget, you won't be in the red.

Black and red

This is to the person that wanted Black Friday renamed. Apparently, you didn't pay much attention in school. When the business is in the red, it means they do not have money. Black Friday is named that because that's when merchants make money, and to be in the black means you have money. You should go back to school.

On the road again

Happy holidays. This is the taxpayers' concern about how it's been misused by our colleges by having highway patrol officers guard the coaches on the sideline. If they are a high dollar school, say like Alabama, then they got four. Why do they need a highway patrolman to meet them at the end of the game at the 50-yard line to say hi, bye and kiss my foot cause you got beat. They could be better using their experience with our tax dollars. That's what they are supposed to be doing instead of babysitting these coaches. C'mon folks, it's pathetic how they babysit these high dollar coaches. Put these state patrolmen back where they belong, not on the football field.
