Who's your daddy?

I get so sick of these little old gals sleeping around with everyone in Missouri and part of Arkansas. Then when they get pregnant, they have to do a DNA test with half the country to see who the dad is. Most of the time it's not even who they think it is. They need to get off their backs and get a job. Have they ever heard of that?

One-handed surrender

I have a question. How can you throw both hands up and say, "Don't shoot," if you are holding your pants up with one of them?

Bus driver coat drive

I saw where the Sikeston Public Schools bus drivers are helping to provide coats for children in need on their routes. Our family dropped off coats at the bus shed to help with their project. I want to commend these drivers for their concern for these children who will be warm this winter thanks to them. My dad was a Sikeston bus driver for many years, so loyal and devoted like many of you. He passed away last year. Our donation is in his memory and service to this community. My heartfelt thanks to all of you are who doing this for the kids. I know of your sacrifices, often with little thanks and appreciation, for the children's safety day after day. Let's all work together to help these drivers with this wonderful project. And by the way, thank them for all they do.

Cops are the tops

To all cops: for every bad guy you place under arrest, there are millions of good people behind you. Don't let the news, the lawyers and disrespect change you -- because you are the ones standing between good and bad.

Putting out the fire

I'm a volunteer fireman. I would kinda like to know what they are gonna do with the fire department here in Miner. I'm all for going with Sikeston if they'll take that mayor with it.

The Board of Alderman have voted to put a sales tax on the ballot for voters to consider to fund the fire department.
