VA Medical Center seeks feedback from veterans, community

SIKESTON -- Veterans, their families and community members can get information about Veteran Administration services and provide feedback on those services they have received during a town hall meeting March 10.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 3174, 709 Smith St. in Sikeston, and is expected to last about an hour.

"At the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, our goal is to provide veterans with high-quality health care and excellent customer service," noted Interim Medical Center Director Frank Kehus. "As part of that strategy, we want to work with our veterans and community partners to periodically gather input about how things are going. Town hall meetings give us an opportunity to hear directly from those we serve."

At the Sikeston meeting, Kehus said, there will be representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration from the St. Louis Regional Office and the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. In addition, the county recorders from Scott, New Madrid and Mississippi counties will be on hand to record official copies of Veterans' DD-214 military release papers, free of charge.
