Here's a sign for you

Hello America. Hello Southeast Missouri. Hello Miner. This is in the April 23 edition, "I missed the signal," about the Miner police not using a signal. I bet you pulled over and quit texting this message so you could get it in the paper. You were probably behind that police car texting while you were driving. You are no different than anybody else. You don't signal, they don't signal. It's optional. Who cares? People don't care about the law so quit worrying about signals and just pay attention to what you are doing. Have a good day. Drive safe. And oh yea, put that *&%$ phone down.

Quit listening, complaining

This is to the individual who continuously complains about the Charter commercials. Do you watch the news? Innocent men, women and children are being brutally murdered all in the name of Allah. The next time that commercial comes on, mute your TV, change channels, turn off your TV; none of this takes much effort on your part. Better yet, get down on your knees and thank God that the worst thing you have to complain about is a television commercial.

Unequal treatment?

I have a question for all our government officials: Why is it when a woman has custody of the children, the state will go after the man like a tiger to make him pay child support and even put him in jail if he gets too far behind, but if the man has custody, the state and child support enforcement doesn't go after the mothers like they do the dads? And if the mothers draw any assistance at all from the state, then the state of Missouri will not even consider putting them in jail no matter how far behind the mother gets with child support, but they sure would the man. We are living in a different time and there are more fathers getting custody of their children, but yet the laws do not help the fathers like they do the mothers. I think our government needs to take a long look at their child support laws and enforce them equally -- male or female. This is one grandmother who thinks that in today's world there are more fathers being fathers and they deserve equal rights and enforcement of our Child Support System.

Must be an old busybody

This is to "Walking dead in Walmart." You must be an old busybody. How in the world you know that people lay up on their couches and let people clean their houses? I know for a fact that there are people out there on walkers and everything else that need a little housecleaning and they are poor people or they wouldn't be getting the government to pay it. You need to get a life and keep your nose out of everybody else's business.
