Oran High School announces top graduates

Allison Cummins

ORAN - Allison Cummins and Karrie Graviett are the valedictorians of Oran High School's Class of 2015. This year's salutatorian is Zakery Johnson.

The daughter of Mark and Stacey Starnes and Steven and Niki Cummins, Cummins was the student council president. She was a member of Beta Club, Science Club, Art Club, FCCLA and Student Council and participated in softball, basketball and volleyball.

Cummins plans to major in nursing at William's Baptist College. She has received the Williams's Baptist College softball scholarship, the National Wild Turkey Confederation scholarship, Anita Barnes Memorial scholarship and the SEMO Electric scholarship.

Karrie Graviett

Graviett, the daughter of Wesley and Karla Graviett, is a member of FCCLA, Beta Club, Art Club and Science Club. In addition to her school work, she is employed at the Lutheran Home.

Following graduation, Graviett plans to attend Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing. She is the recipient of a $1,500 Anita Barnes Scholarship.

This year's salutatorian is the son of Billy Ray Johnson Jr. and Stacey Johnson and plans to study massage therapy at Metro Business college. He has already received the Anita Barnes Memorial Scholarship and the SEMO Electric Scholarship.

While in high school, Johnson served as the school mascot. He took part in track and was a member of the Beta Club, serving as its treasurer, belonged to FFA and served as the group's sentinel.

, was the vice president of Art Club and was a member of Science Club.
