Monopoly is gonna cost us

Charter Communications has put a bid in to buy Time Warner Cable. You think our cable services, internet and telephone are high? If the U.S. government approves their deal, you better get a bigger wallet. Call your U.S. congressmen and senators to block this monopoly.

Down on the corner

I see where Sikeston is getting another bank. We have a bank on every corner as it is. We need some more nice restaurants here in town, I do believe, that are nice to go.

School house block

I am calling SpeakOut about the houses we have around our schools on Matthews Street and on Murray Lane. I thought we had code enforcement to make sure those houses are kept up. It looks really bad on our city.

Take a look at the book

In answer to "Merge when you can," there was a sign once upon a time that said yield. If you are gonna get on, you need to yield to vehicles that are on that road and not try to make it over. You are the one wanting on, not the people that are already traveling on I-55. They have the right of way. It's in your guide that you got 16 years ago that apparently you forgot to read.

The right to try

It takes over $2 billion and 16 years to get a new medicine approved by the FDA - the Federal Drug Administration. Many people with advance illnesses want and need the "Right to Try" new medicines, the chance to live. Please urge Congress to pass a "Right to Try" bill.
