Pinnell named mortgage lending officer at First Midwest Bank in Sikeston

SIKESTON -- Heather Pinnell has been named as the assistant vice president and mortgage lending officer at First Midwest Bank in Sikeston.

In her new role as mortgage lending officer, Pinnell will assist customers with all their mortgage lending needs; whether it be purchasing a home or refinancing.

Pinnell has served as First Midwest Bank's mortgage loan processor for the past eight years. She was born and raised in Sikeston and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in finance in 2008. Pinnell and her husband, Barry, reside in Sikeston with their young daughter.

Steve Millington, Sikeston's community bank president, believes Pinnell will be a great fit for the position. "Heather will make a great mortgage lending officer because she brings considerable knowledge and experience from her previous role," Millington said.

Pinnell is located at the First Midwest Bank in Sikeston, located on Main Street. First Midwest Bank also has locations in Dexter, Jackson and Cape Girardeau.

Shaver completes state real estate commission's broker requirements

SIKESTON -- Becky Shaver of Century 21 Premiere Realty has received her real estate broker's license for the State of Missouri. She will continue to specialize in residential property sales in the Sikeston area.

Shaver successfully completed extensive training and licensing through Professional School of Real Estate. During the 48-hour program, Shaver received advanced training in topics of broker responsibilities, office operations, requirements, regulations, financing and management.

"We believe that training supports growth and professional excellence in the real estate industry," Merideth added. "Performance-based training is necessary to assure that Century 21 real estate professionals offer the best service possible to their clients."

Shaver has been a licensed real estate salesperson since 1999 and has been recognized by the Century 21 system as a top producer. Century 21 Premiere Realty and Century 21 Ashland Realty are owned by Merideth.

QC Supply holds grand opening Thursday

POPLAR BLUFF -- QC Supply, LLC, celebrated the grand opening of their new location in Poplar Bluff Thursday.

The business is located at 1911 Speedway Drive.

Mike Lambert, manager of QC Supply, said the business is proud to be open in Poplar Bluff.

"We look forward to providing customers with one source for all their equipment, service and new construction needs," Lambert said.

How to find financing for your business session is planned

JACKSON -- A class of how to find financing for your business, offered by the local University of Missouri Cape Girardeau County Extension Small Business Technology Development Center, will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Cape Girardeau County MU Extension Center at 684 West Jackson Trail.

The session will address the many services the organization provides the small business community in the area. Refreshments will be served.

Richard Proffer, area business development specialist for the Extension, says, "this is an opportunity for people having business questions on financing, how to start a business, management or the services of Extension's business development program to come and hear first hand what can be done for them."
