Allegedly struck, wounded child with an extension cord
CHARLESTON -- A Wyatt woman faces child abuse charges after allegedly
striking and injuring a child with an extension cord.
Eddie Mae Washington, 50, is charged with abuse of a child, a class C felony punishable upon conviction by up to seven years in the Department of Corrections.
According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, the investigation began on Wednesday when Deputy Mike Borders was dispatched to a Wyatt residence in reference to allegations of child abuse.
