Try a little tenderness

I'm calling in regard to the person who called about the person at Walmart begging for money. I'm that lady. I do stand out there. I'm not begging. I hold a sign asking for compassion and help with my medical co-pay. You need to get your facts straight. I have a $75 co-pay twice a month to get drugs that I need to keep me alive. This is not includin my other two doctors plus my trip to the Seitman Cancer Center in St. Louis twice a year, nor my pain clinic for injections in my neck every three months. This is ongoing for my lifetime unless they can find some kind of cure. I refuse to give up and die, although at times I wish I would because the pain is so great. I stood out there two days ago right after surgery. It took everything I could to stand. I couldn't stand so I had to sit down. I draw $95 a month SSI and $638 a month Social Security. I can't pay all my co-pays and living bill on $710 a month, but I try. I've been a hard worker all my life. I was a laborer outside for three years outside in all kinds of weather. I was also a truck driver. I worked up until the time I had to be at the hospital two weeks out of every month from April till June. No one is going to hire me when I'm at the hospital two weeks out of the month. So yes, you will still be seeing me out there asking for help. Sorry, I refuse to give up and die. There are people that do have a heart and compassion. If you would just stop and talk to me, I'd be glad to give you the doctors' names so you can call and verify whatever you need to verify. I can't afford all my shots and I can't afford all my medical bills. My hospital bill was $220,000. I'm sorry you don't have a heart and you don't understand, but there are people who do, thank God.
