This is the first time I have ever called SpeakOut and I may never call again. I was just reading in Wednesday's paper the comments by Michael Jensen. He is lumping Social Security along with welfare programs, unemployment insurance, earned income tax credit, food stamps and public housing as an entitlement program that is being funded by the government. Social Security is not funded by the government. It is funded by the taxes that we have paid out of our income all the years we worked. Please do not lump Social Security and Medicare with the government programs that are funded by the government.

Just don't care

I'd like to speak about the slum lords around here in the neighborhood. I grew up here in Sikeston and I never seen get it this bad. Out of town people are not caring about the property and the landlords are not caring about the property. They move these people in that are tearing up the property and everything. They don't care, they just want the money. They don't fix nothing around here. Most of these houses are roach-filled and need to be condemned. I just want to speakout about these slum lords here in Sikeston.
