CHARLESTON -- The best parts of fall for a kid -- candy, costumes, caramel apples -- seem to come and go too quickly.

So the Charleston Society for the Arts is bringing them all back for the Art Harvest Festival 2-5 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Arts Building, 512 E. Marshall.

"We have done similar events for kids where they have craft stations they go through but this is our first with a fall theme," said Heather Collier, a member of the Society's executive board.

The Art Harvest Festival is geared "mainly for elementary-aged kids," Collier said, "but if they have an older sibling, they are welcome to come along if they want to."
