Members of Girl Scout Troop 71115 are undertaking a community service project to help local veterans. A donation box was recently placed at the Kelly Elementary School for others to join them as the "White Out Their Worries" by collecting white crew socks and white T-shirts for the veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff. Also items can be dropped off with any of the troop members or at H&W Public Safety in Sikeston. The collection will continue through Nov. 6. Items collected will be delivered to the veterans shortly after Veterans Day. Pictured with the donation box are, front row from left: Kassie Roland, Emma Scudder and Alexis Steinhoff; second row: Kaitlyn Hopper, Mallory Lemonds, Kaitlyn O'Guinn and Alyssa Casey; and back row: principal Tracy Siebert and Rosemary Guthrie.
