Gas fumes

Gas is $1.59 in Charleston.

For the last couple of months, I have not bought any gas in Sikeston. I do not buy gas where I live because they are as much as 20 cents a gallon higher than Dexter, Poplar Bluff, Cape, Jackson. I filled up at Jackson on Jan. 18 and it was $1.69. I don't see how the Sikeston owners of the gas stations done it, but they dropped it two cents a gallon this past week. I really feel sorry for you guys. I suggest for people to go north, south, east or west, but don't buy gas in Sikeston.

I'd like to speakout about gas prices here in Sikeston and prices in general. I will buy gas out of town. According to gas prices tonight listed on Gas Buddy and KFVS, prices are 10 to 22 cents a gallon cheaper. Sikeston does not pay any more for a truckload of gas coming in than someone in New Madrid or Dexter. The city is not ever going to do better with sales tax. These convenience stores are killing the city. If they want to join the city and do better, then it will help the city with sales tax, they need to do what these other cities are doing. They need correct gas prices that match everybody else.

Don't stand for nothing

I watched the Republican debate for the first time. We laughed and laughed at the candidates. They lied and lied. Who would want to vote for any one of them? They wanted to talk about Obama and Hillary. I got sick of listening to all the lies and putting each other down. I turned the TV off and went to bed. I don't intend to listen to another debate. I know they don't stand for nothing. We sure don't have anybody to choose from. If we get any one of them, I think we are in for a lot of danger. I don't think any of them can run a country. I don't want to know who did what and this and that. I want to know what they stand for and what they are going to do to change things for the better. They turn the truth around. They don't know what the truth is. Trump claims to be a businessman with lots of money. If he can't run a business, he can't run a country. He filed bankruptcy three times. I think they all could get on the Late Late Show as comedians. They could handle that job but not a country. Trump has no right to criticize Clinton. Look at all the women he has messed with and how many sets of kids he has. That's the kettle calling the pot black.
