A great feat

I'd like to respond to the "Tag you're the idiot" in SpeakOut. Obama must be the greatest president we have ever had. He instituted the Muslim Brotherhood. It was an organization before he was born. I don't know he managed to initiate it because it must have been some feat.

Change won't ease tension

This is in regard to the changing of Main Street in Sikeston. I just read in the paper where the City Council decided not to change it, and Mr. McClellan is a little upset. Well, he's trying to throw shade on the City Council by saying it was done behind closed doors. I'm sure there were reasons for that. However, what's not being noticed or addressed is how Mr. McClellan is acting like a child not getting his way. He keeps saying, "We will not settle. We will not settle. We will not settle unless Main Street is changed." He says changing the name of Main Street will ease the racial tension. It did not do that for Memphis, and it has not done that for St. Louis. Why does he think it would do it for Sikeston, Mo.? What he should focus on is where all the senseless violence occurs, which is in a particular area of the town. That's where I suggest he focus first. If you want to do something for Dr. Martin Luther King, build him a park, comparable to something like the Clinton Building. Build him a park and build him something nice where everyone in the city can enjoy it and remember him.

Lots of holes on 75

I'm speaking out about Highway 75, that comes off Highway 105, leading into Anniston. The road is really tearing apart. It is due to high volume of the big granary trucks going to this mill that we have in town. I have no disagreements with anybody trying to make a living, but its only right that the rest of us taxpayers have something done about this road. It's getting some big holes in it. I would appreciate it if somebody would check into this. I'm not trying to be mean, but we do need some help over here.
