Time to pipe up

I'm not reading anything, this comes from the heart. I have a nephew that lives in Flint, Mich. His iron level is three times what it should be and he's 8 years old. We are spending millions and millions of dollars over in Iraq and all these places overseas, and Mexico gets foreign aid from us and everything. But here in the United States of America, we cannot even help our citizens and our kids. They should go in there and clean out every pipe there is. They should hire every contractor in the state of Michigan and go in there and in a month they could have every pipe ripped out and replaced. What is the government doing? We are sending millions and millions of dollars to places overseas that keep getting blown up. That's just America for you. We don't mean nothing, until they need our vote. And after they get our vote, the poor and the middle class go back to being nothing. They can sure send foreign aid to Mexico, but they can't replace pipes in Flint, Mich.

Who knows?

I'm commenting on the Martin Luther King/Main Street suggestion. I can't help but notice in the SpeakOut articles, I'm seeing a lot of cause for uniting but I'm also seeing a lot of they and their. I don't think that's going to fly with whatever community "they" are talking about. I think it's important to look at all the opportunity, but it will disenfranchise a lot of businesses to have to change business cards, websites and things of that nature. But it might just be a good idea. Who know? Maybe it will bring people together. The point of making Main Street Martin Luther King Boulevard is that it sticks out and shows the progress of how far this town has come. We have a proud history and we need to own it.
