Ideal for ideas

I believe Sikeston is beautiful, and I believe the town wants to grow and expand and bring in new businesses and create new jobs. The Noranda situation, while tragic, gives us the opportunity to reset our scale and help better educate our workers. We all need to support the people who have been laid off any way possible. SpeakOut should become a forum for ideas to do that. It doesn't just have to be the City Council or the School Board or whatever else. It simply needs to be in the paper and feed off of each others' ideas and simply progress.

When one goes, they all go

If Obama had to go to Cuba, why did he have to take his whole family for the taxpayers to have to pay for it. They didn't have to go, they could've stayed home. Everywhere he goes he has to take his whole family, and the taxpayers pick up the tab. That's just utterly ridiculous.
