Kelly grads receive college scholarships from Blodgett club

BLODGETT, Mo. - The Blodgett Women's Club recently awarded two Kelly High School graduates college scholarships.

McKynlee Paige Neumeyer, the daughter of Lisa and Roger Neumeyer, plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University where she will major in nursing. She plans to become a nurse anesthetist.

While attending Kelly High School, Neumeyer played softball, ran track and was a cheerleader. Also she was a member of Beta Club, serving as publicity coordinator, president of Spanish Club and vice president of FCCLA as well as a member of Future Farmers of America, Future Teachers of America, Art Club, yearbook staff, Chemistry Club, Drama Club, Pep Club and the senior class vice president.

Savannah Whitten

The daughter of Jason and Alexie Whitten, Savannah Whitten is a 2016 graduate of Thomas Kelly High School.

The president of Pep Club, Whitten was selected as the 2016 Homecoming queen. She was a four-year member of the soccer team and served as its captain and was member of FFA, Spanish Club, Drama Club and Chemistry Club.

She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University, where she will majoring in biology/pre-physicians assistant.
