USDA Funding Wetland Mitigation Bank in Southeastern Missouri

(COLUMBIA, MO) -- Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Chief Jason Weller announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing more than $7 million to fund agricultural wetland mitigation banks in 10 Midwest and Northern Great Plain states. One of the mitigation banks will be on land in Missouri's southeastern "Bootheel" region.
