Middle School Undefeated Champs

The parents and the coaching staff of the Portageville School district need to be commended. They are doing something right for the Portagteville Bullpups having consecutive undefeated seasons.

"What a season. I don't really know what to say about this group of boys besides the sky is the limit," said Coach Travis Scherer. "I am extremely blessed to get to ride along on an undefeated season from the Portageville Bullpups this year. 6-0. We averaged around 42 points a game and only gave up an average of around 12 a game."

The Bullpups finished with a 6-0 record, and won their third consecutive Bootheel Conference Championship. This is the first time in school history finishing 6-0. Earlier teams have finished 5-0, but this is first time for 6-0. They have only been playing six games for about five years.

"Thanks for letting me a part of it and remember we are FAMILY," added Scherer.
