Portageville FFA competes at Area Contest

The Portageville FFA chapter competed in area FFA contests on Wednesday, March 8th at Twin Rivers High School. The FFA Knowledge team placed 6th. They took a 100 question test concerning FFA history and current events. They qualified to advance to District FFA Competition.

The chapter creed speaker, Liz Compere placed 5th. Division II public speaker Jay Maltbia placed 5th.

Extemporaneous speaker Lisa Allen placed 2nd. Her competition requires her to draw a topic out of a hat and then have 30 minutes to prepare a 4-6 minute speech. She qualified to compete in district competition that will be held at Cape Girardeau in the Show-me Center on April 1st.

Madison Livingston's chapter scrapbook placed 1st. It will be on display with the other First Place scrapbooks in the state at the State FFA Convention held in Columbia, Mo. on April 20-21.
