2017 Bootheel Conference baseball awards released

The Bootheel Conference all-conference baseball awards have been released.

South Pemiscot’s Riley Cain has been selected as the Bootheel Conference Player of the Year. Cain hit .548 with five home runs, 18 RBIs and 32 runs scored this spring.He also went 5-1 with a 1.93 ERA on the hill.

South Pemiscot’s Jason House has been selected as the Bootheel Conference Coach of the Year. South Pemiscot went 15-8, won the Bootheel Conference Tournament and won its district tournament under House.

Caruthersville’s Bryce Strawn, Portageville’s Nicholas Allred, Portageville’s Ian Torrey, South Pemiscot’s Logan Damesworth, Malden’s Dee Triplett, Senath-Hornersville’s Lathan Brooks, Campbell’s Tommy Steward, Caruthersville’s Blake Irons, Portageville’s Hunter Gates, Senath-Hornersville’s David Sawyer, Caruthersville’s Taylor Moses, Portageville’s Ryan Priggel, Malden’s Mason Brown, Portageville’s Bub Lance, Campbell’s Duncan Morrison, South Pemiscot’s Doran Jones, Senath-Hornersville’s Austin Brock and Caruthersville’s David Cook were selected all-conference.
