Jerome Hulehan

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. -- Jerome Dale Hulehan, 79, died Feb. 23, 2018, at his home.

Born Dec. 14, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late Horace and Deloma Hulehan, he graduated from Sikeston, Mo., High School in 1956 and received his master's degree from the University of Missouri. After graduation, he spent 25 years serving his country with distinction with the U.S. Department of State, Foreign Services. His assignments were in Brazil, Uruguay, Kenya, France and Jamaica. He then started his second career as a psychotherapist until his retirement.

Survivors include: four sisters, Carmen Hulehan Love (Tom) of Dexter, Mo., Sandy Hulehan and Rita Hulehan Chapman (Mark) of Pensacola and Connie Hulehan Garcia of Deland; one brother, Wayne Hulehan of Alexandria, Va.; his dear friend, Shahin Torabi; his dog and best friend, Izaak; and four nephews, three nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonita Hulehan Johnson and Glenda Gale Hulehan; and his wife, Janet Wall Hulehan.

Jerome will always be remembered for his love of his family and enjoying his "peaceful" years enjoying his retirement in Florida.

There are no services planned at this time.
