Brenda Hummel

OLATHE, Kan. -- Brenda Kay Engram Hummel, 72, died March 13, 2018, at her home in Olathe.

Born Dec. 11, 1945, in Sikeston, Mo., daughter of the late Vance and Nina Ruth Engram, she graduated from Palmyra High School in 1963 and attended Gem City Business School in Quincy, Ill. Throughout the years she worked as an administrative assistant for the Marion County Sheriff's Office, 10th Judicial Probate Judge in Hannibal, Mo., and St. John's Hospice in Springfield, Mo.

Survivors include: two daughters, Charlotte (Riegel) Trezza and Amy (Riegel) Jaynes; one brother, Charles Engram; and five grandchildren,.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Lowell Hummel.

A memorial celebration will be held at 1 p.m. April 7 at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home in Olathe.
