EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. - Avery Truman Hutcheson, 83, died Oct. 6, 2016, at his home in East Prairie.
Born March 17, 1933, in Mississippi County, to the late Raymond and Janie Lee Arington Hutcheson, he served in United States Air Force and was a retired sheriff, real estate investor and auto salesman. Also he was on the East Prairie City Council, school board and Mississippi County Commission. He was a member of the Church of God.
On Aug. 14, 1953, in East Prairie, he married Susie Davis Hutcheson, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: three sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle Hunter and Cassandra Hutcheson and Kevin Dale and Dorothy Lynn Hutcheson of East Prairie and Avery Lynn and Danyelle Hutcheson of Republic; three brothers, Douglas, Don and Carlin Hutcheson all of East Prairie; one sister, Cora Sue Stallings of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Harvey and Ward Hutcheson, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with Martin Lucas officiating.
Burial will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenton Hutcheson, Jon Hutcheson, Mike Hutcheson, Marty Hutcheson, Tim Hutcheson and Bart Stallings.
