CHARLESTON, Mo. - Kathryn Mae "Kat" Davis, 69, died Oct. 5, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born June 19, 1947, in Dorena to the late Bert and Ella Mae Chick Quinn, she was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Wolf Island from 2001 until 2011 then became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Henson. A bus driver for Charleston Head Start DAEOC for 14 years, she was also active with the Green Thumb program as a nutrient educator.

On March 28, 1963, she married the Rev. Sylvester Davis, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she survived by: four sons and two daughters-in-law, Sylvester Lee and Josephine Davis of Memphis, Edward and Mary Davis of Seattle, Wash., Donald Davis of Elkhart, Ind., and Maurice Davis of Bertrand; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Evon and Charles Cassell of Sikeston and Jennifer and James Smith Jr. of Kalamazoo, Mich.; two brothers Jimmy "Chick" Quinn of Wilson City and Melvin Quinn of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Lena Mae Gillespie of Charleston; and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with the Rev. Bridgett Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
