WHITEWATER, Mo. - Aaron David Culbertson, 83, died Dec. 2, 2016, at the family home in Whitewater. Born Nov. 28, 1933, in Chaffee, to the late Aaron and Julia Ryker Culbertson, he was a retired de-barker with M.E. Lemings Saw Mill of Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church in Whitewater, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On April 4, 1955, he married Glenda Lee Jones, who survives of the home. Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Brenda Culbertson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Aaron David and Kim Culbertson of St. Louis and Larry Culbertson of Whitewater; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Mark Claunch of Whitewater; two sisters, Ella Dowd of Chaffee and Nancy Cook of Sedgewickville; and 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
