EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Karen Sue Hanor, 63, of East Prairie, died July 16, 2017, at her home.

Born Dec. 30, 1953, in Festus, to the late William and Phyllis Clough Turner, she was employed as a school teacher for over 25 years for the East Prairie R-2 Public School System. She was a member of the First Church of God of East Prairie.

On Dec. 8, 1973, at the First Church of God, she was married to Robert "Bob" Hanor; he survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Jarrod Hutcheson of East Prairie; one sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Charlie Kuykendall of Charleston; and one niece and her husband, Michelle and Dave Avery of Sikeston.

Visitation will begin at noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the First Church of God in East Prairie with Paul Matte, pastor, officiating.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie is in charge of arrangements

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Joey King, Keith Grissom, Stanley Smith, Nathan Sutton, Scot Davis and Derek Atwood.
