Betty McKinley
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Betty Jo McKinley, 90, died Oct. 22, 2017, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born March 10, 1927, daughter of the late Glen H. and Pearl Collins Gentry, she was a member of the Illmo Baptist Church for 60 years, volunteering in many capacities as a teacher and youth leader. She worked as a nursery school teacher and at the Ely Walker Factory Store until her retirement.
On June 23, 1946, she married Homer K. McKinley, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2002.
Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald McKinley of Cape Girardeau and Dennis and Linda McKinley of Scott City; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Michael Rolwing of Charleston; six brothers, Lynn Gentry, Stan Gentry and Dan Gentry of Scott City, Mike Gentry and Dick Gentry of Cape Girardeau and Steve Gentry of Leopold; a sister, Connie Scales of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and William Gentry.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with the Revs. Ronald McKinley and Mike Shupert officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
